Amritsar district’s Social Security, Women & Child Development Department conducted three-day training (Feb 2-4) for the inaugural batch of Anganwadi workers under the Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0, Poshan Padhai bhi, Khel bhi campaign at Government School Ghiri Mandi (Jandiala).
Child Development Focus
Workers learned holistic early childhood growth: stimulation for 0-3 years, care & education for 3-6 years—covering language, intellectual, creative, physical, and cultural activities for 3-6-year-olds.

District Programme Officer Gurmeet Singh hailed the sessions for boosting worker skills, promising gains in child health and education; attendees included First Team CDPO Jaspreet Singh, supervisors Paramjit Kaur & Navreet Kaur, block coordinators, and workers like Sujata, Gurpreet Kaur, and Harpreet Kaur. This empowers grassroots nutrition & learning drives.
