Akal Takht Jathedar Orders Silence in 328 Sacred Swaroops Case Amid Ongoing Probe

Sri Amritsar Sahib: In the matter of 328 sacred swaroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj has firmly directed all parties to refrain from public statements, as previously prohibited.

Strict Directives

Jathedar emphasized that several factions continue defying earlier orders, urging complete compliance until the investigation concludes. He issued stern instructions to SIT members and lawyers prohibiting press conferences or actions that fuel media trials, warning such conduct risks deteriorating Punjab’s law and order situation.

Emphasis on Impartiality

SIT officials must be well-versed in Sikh maryada to ensure an unbiased and secure resolution. Jathedar reiterated that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, as Sikhs’ living Guru, evokes profound emotions among Guru Nanak Naam Leva devotees.

Ban on Statements

Despite prior Akal Takht directives against politics, blame games, or rhetoric in this case, some parties persist with statements and social media trials, disrespecting the spirit of those orders. No party, media, SIT, or lawyers may speak publicly, twist facts, indulge in politics, or preempt judgments until truth emerges from the probe, as this wounds Sikh sentiments and sows confusion among the Sangat.
