Foreign portfolio investors have ramped up their exit from Indian equities, offloading a massive ₹35,962 crore so far this year—the highest monthly total since August 2025. Depositories’ data shows they also pulled out ₹7,308 crore from the debt general limit during this period. This follows net outflows of ₹22,611 crore in December 2025 and ₹3,765 crore in November, though FPIs had invested ₹14,610 crore back in October after prior heavy selling. This sustained withdrawal signals caution amid market volatility.
