Tarun Chugh Begin Punjab Outreach in Amritsar with BJP

Amritsar (Dawarka Nath Rana): The Tarun Chugh Begin Punjab Outreach began with newly appointed Punjab BJP President Keval Singh Dhillon and BJP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh arriving in Amritsar for a one-day visit.

BJP workers, led by district president Harvinder Singh Sandhu, welcomed the leaders at Bhandari Bridge with traditional drums and slogans.

Leaders Visit Major Religious Sites

The leaders first offered prayers at Sri Harmandir Sahib and sought blessings.

Afterward, they visited Jallianwala Bagh and paid tribute to the martyrs.

They also visited Sri Durgiana Temple, where the temple committee honoured them with shawls and mementoes.

Later, they paid obeisance at Sri Ram Tirath Temple and offered prayers.

Tributes to National Icons

During the Tarun Chugh Begin Punjab Outreach visit, Keval Singh Dhillon also paid floral tribute to the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Furthermore, both leaders visited the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama and honoured the Sikh ruler with floral tributes.

Dhillon said the BJP draws inspiration from Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s governance, justice, and commitment to public welfare.

BJP Highlights Vision for Punjab

Speaking to the media, Keval Singh Dhillon said the visit to Amritsar’s religious places gave him peace and inspiration.

Moreover, he said the BJP aims to establish good governance, religious harmony, development, and a secure society in Punjab.

He also appealed to the people to support the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections.

According to him, the party wants to build a prosperous Punjab based on inclusive development.

Tarun Chugh Raises Minority Safety Issue

Tarun Chugh expressed concern over reports regarding the treatment of minorities in Pakistan.

He also referred to reports about the killing of a couple at a gurdwara in Pakistan.

Furthermore, he said he and Keval Singh Dhillon would raise the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and seek efforts to ensure the safety of minorities.

Party Workers Extend Grand Welcome

Several BJP leaders and hundreds of party workers joined the visit.

Senior leaders, former MPs, state office-bearers, councillors, and district leaders accompanied the BJP leadership throughout the programme.

Overall, the Tarun Chugh Begin Punjab Outreach focused on religious outreach, party engagement, and the leadership’s political vision for the state.
