Rampur (Kameshwar Sharma): A ₹2 lakh cheque bounce case took a dramatic turn when Rampur Police arrested a woman accused in the matter. The arrest came after a court issued a non-bailable warrant against her.
According to police officials, the Court of LD JMFC Karsog, District Mandi, issued the warrant in the case of Jia Lal versus Neeta. The case relates to the dishonour of a cheque worth ₹2 lakh. It falls under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Woman Arrested from Her Residence
Police identified the accused as Neeta Devi, wife of Sita Ram. She lives in village Dansa in Rampur tehsil of Shimla district.
Acting on the court’s directions, a police team reached her residence on June 17, 2026. Subsequently, officers arrested her and completed the required legal formalities.
Afterward, the team produced her before the competent court in Karsog, District Mandi.
