Healthy Baby Competition Winners Honored in Shimla

Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): Healthy Baby Competition was organized today under the International Shimla Summer Festival 2026. Children from different age groups participated enthusiastically in the event.

MLA Harish Janartha attended the programme as the chief guest. Meanwhile, the judging panel evaluated all entries and selected winners based on various health and development criteria.

123 Children Participate in Competition

A total of 216 children registered online for the competition.

However, 123 children participated in the event. Furthermore, the competition witnessed strong participation from parents and families who supported the young contestants.

Winners in 0 to 1 Year Category

In the 0 to 1 year age group, 27 children took part in the competition.

Shivanya, daughter of Ankur Bhagta, secured the first position. Meanwhile, Viham, son of Ankit Thakur, finished second. Additionally, Zorawar Singh, son of Inderjit Singh, claimed third place.

Winners in 1 to 3 Year Category

A total of 64 children competed in the 1 to 3 year age group.

Advika, daughter of Swatinam Sharma, won first place. Furthermore, Kanika Thakur, daughter of Vikram, secured second position. Avyukt Verma, son of Vikesh Verma, finished third.

Winners in 3 to 5 Year Category

In the 3 to 5 year category, 32 children participated.

Agampreet, son of Randeep Singh, secured the first position. Moreover, Kairav, son of Vikesh Verma, claimed second place. Siyara Gupta, daughter of Rishav Gupta, finished third.

Winners Receive Cash Prizes

The organizers awarded attractive cash prizes to the winners.

The first-place winners received ₹25,000. Similarly, second-place winners received ₹20,000. Third-place winners were awarded ₹15,000.

Chief Guest Honors Winners

MLA Harish Janartha honored all winners during the ceremony.

Additionally, he congratulated the children and wished them a bright future. He also appreciated the efforts of parents in ensuring the healthy growth and development of their children.

Judging Based on Multiple Health Parameters

The organizers conducted the competition on a 100-point evaluation system.

The assessment included 20 marks for developmental milestones and 20 marks for nutritional status. Furthermore, developmental significance carried 20 marks.

In addition, vaccination status accounted for 15 marks, while physical examination carried another 15 marks. Finally, hygiene and interaction skills were evaluated for 10 marks.

Expert Panel Evaluates Participants

An expert panel of doctors evaluated the children during the competition.

The judging panel included Dr. Poonam Kanwar, Dr. Chandrakanta, Dr. Pavana, Dr. Neelam Pathania, Dr. Madhu Matain, Dr. Sunny Banga, and Dr. Riya.

The organizers expressed gratitude to all participating children and their parents.
