Mandi (Kameshwar Sharma): The Parashar Fair Mandi 2026 will begin on June 14 and continue until June 16 in Mandi district. SDM Sadar Mandi Rupinder Kaur shared this information while chairing a review meeting held at the DRDA Committee Hall on Monday.
She stated that the fair is a symbol of public faith and attracts a large number of devotees every year. Therefore, the administration has started extensive preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the Parashar Fair Mandi 2026.
Departments Directed to Ensure Essential Services
During the meeting, Rupinder Kaur instructed various departments to complete all necessary arrangements before the fair begins.
The Health Department will deploy ambulances, doctors, nursing staff, and health check-up camps. Meanwhile, the Jal Shakti Department will ensure an uninterrupted drinking water supply and arrange water tankers.
Furthermore, the administration directed the Electricity Department to maintain a continuous power supply throughout the event. In addition, officials instructed the Public Works Department to repair roads and install signboards for visitors.
As a result, the administration will provide better facilities and services to devotees visiting the Parashar Fair Mandi 2026.
Transport and Safety Arrangements Strengthened
The administration has also focused on transportation and public safety. Therefore, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will provide additional bus services for devotees traveling to the fair.
Moreover, the Tourism Department will install directional signboards at various locations along the route to Parashar. At the same time, the Fire Department will deploy fire-fighting vehicles to handle emergencies.
Meanwhile, the administration instructed the Police Department to make strong arrangements for law and order, traffic management, and parking facilities.

Strict Ban on Intoxicants
Rupinder Kaur emphasized that the administration will strictly prohibit the sale of intoxicating substances during the fair.
She announced that the sale of alcohol, beer, cigarettes, and other intoxicants will remain completely banned. Additionally, the administration directed police and excise officials to launch a comprehensive anti-drug campaign during the event.
Furthermore, the administration will closely monitor activities to ensure a safe and family-friendly environment at the Parashar Fair Mandi 2026.
Cleanliness and Environmental Protection a Priority
The SDM also instructed the Block Development Officer (BDO) to ensure proper sanitation and toilet facilities for visitors.
In addition, vendors participating in the fair must place dustbins outside their stalls to maintain cleanliness. She urged all stakeholders to work together to keep the fair premises clean and environmentally friendly.
Likewise, residents and visitors have been requested to support the administration’s efforts to maintain a clean environment throughout the Parashar Fair Mandi 2026.
Cultural and Development Activities Planned
Apart from religious activities, the fair will also feature cultural and sports events. Therefore, officials have been asked to coordinate closely with the local fair committee and complete all preparations on time.
Additionally, various government departments will set up exhibitions and information stalls showcasing development projects and public welfare schemes.
