Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): The Shimla Heroin Seizure Case has highlighted the ongoing efforts of district police against drug trafficking. Under a special anti-narcotics campaign, the Theog Police team achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting three individuals and recovering heroin from their possession.
The operation took place during routine patrol and crime-prevention duty in the Theog area. Police officials received credible intelligence about a suspicious vehicle parked near the Gajeri area. According to the information, three individuals were allegedly involved in the sale and purchase of heroin, commonly known as chitta.
Swift Action Based on Intelligence
Acting on the tip-off, the police team immediately reached the location. Officers then conducted a thorough search of the vehicle and the suspects.
During the operation, police recovered a total of 9 grams of heroin from the possession of the accused. Consequently, officials arrested all three individuals on the spot.

Police identified the arrested individuals as:
- Rajesh Chauhan (38), resident of Madhol, Tehsil Jubbal.
- Manik Sood (29), resident of Main Bazaar, Kotkhai.
- Anshul Sharma, resident of Deem, Tehsil Jubbal.
According to officials, all three accused are currently under investigation in connection with the Shimla Heroin Seizure Case.
Further Investigation Underway
After the arrests, police produced the accused before the competent court and secured their remand for further questioning.
Meanwhile, investigators continue to gather evidence and verify whether the accused had connections with larger drug trafficking networks operating in the region.
