Chandigarh: Punjab Police carried out a major operation under its ongoing Anti Gangster Drive Punjab Police campaign on the 134th day. The state-wide action targeted gang-linked networks across multiple districts.
Police teams conducted raids at 526 identified locations connected to gangsters and their associates. As a result, authorities arrested 272 individuals during the operation.
Campaign Led by Senior Police Leadership
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav launched the Punjab Police Anti Gangster Drive on 20 January 2026. Since then, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), along with district police units, has been carrying out continuous operations.

In today’s action, police arrested 71 drug traffickers. They also recovered 18.4 kg of heroin, 570 intoxicating tablets, and ₹11,487 drug money.
Since the start of this campaign, authorities have arrested a total of 66,473 drug traffickers over 459 days. In addition, eight individuals were referred to rehabilitation and de-addiction programs.
