Amritsar (Rajesh Sandhu): The Amritsar Police successfully conducted the Seized Vehicles in Public Sale at Police Lines, Amritsar City. The auction covered vehicles seized in different criminal cases under IPC/BNS and NDPS Act. Senior police officials and district administration officers supervised the entire process.

Moreover, the administration completed all legal formalities before starting the auction. As a result, officials ensured a fully transparent process that followed all government guidelines.

Amritsar Police Organizes Seized Vehicles Auction

The Amritsar Police Commissionerate organized the Seized Vehicles in Public Sale at Police Lines after clearing all legal requirements.

In addition, officials confirmed that many seized vehicles had remained parked in police stations for a long time. Therefore, the administration decided to dispose of them through a public auction as per government rules.

115 Vehicles Sold in Transparent Auction

During the Seized Vehicles in Public Sale, authorities auctioned a total of 115 vehicles. These included 05 cars and 110 motorcycles seized in different criminal cases.

Furthermore, bidders from Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Gurdaspur actively joined the auction. In total, 23 bidders participated after submitting the required security deposit.

Each bidder deposited ₹5,000 as security. Officials refunded the amount to unsuccessful bidders after completing the auction process.

₹5.44 Lakh Earned from Auction

The Seized Vehicles in Public Sale generated ₹5,44,000 for the government treasury.

Officials confirmed that they deposited the full amount into the government account. In addition, they maintained strict transparency and followed all official rules during the process.
