The operation forms part of a special anti-narcotics drive aimed at dismantling supply chains using backward link analysis.
Moreover, police used technical surveillance, WhatsApp chats, CDR data, and financial transactions to trace the complete drug network. As a result, officers successfully reached the main suppliers behind multiple drug cases.
Case 1: Illegal Tablets Seized in Rohru
In Case No. 37/26 dated April 3, 2026, registered under Sections 22 and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Rohru, police recovered banned medicines.
Officials arrested Siddhant Khagta (27) and Gaurav Kumar (35) from Bilaspur district. Police seized 190 restricted Nitrazepam tablets (19 strips of Nitrosun-10).
Furthermore, the Shimla Drug Syndicates Crackdown expanded when investigators traced the consignment to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Police later arrested Ahamar Brijjas (32) from Lucknow on May 17, 2026. Investigators confirmed that he operated a chemist shop and supplied controlled drugs without valid prescriptions.
Therefore, authorities also initiated action under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

Case 2: Heroin Recovery in Shimla
In Case No. 49/2026 dated May 9, 2026, under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, Shimla Police arrested two accused from Punjab.
Police recovered 10.300 grams of heroin (“chitta”) from Nishan Singh (26) and Gurpreet Singh (23).

Investigators traced Akashdeep alias Akash (22) from Firozpur district as the key supplier. Police arrested him during a joint operation in Jalalabad, Fazilka on May 19, 2026.
