Amritsar (Dawarka Nath Rana): Senior trade union leader and former district president of CITU Amritsar, Comrade Jeet Raj Bawa, was cremated at Sheetla Mandir Shivpuri in Amritsar on Thursday. The Jeet Raj Bawa Cremated ceremony witnessed the presence of several CITU leaders, workers, and members of allied organizations who gathered to pay their final respects.

Jeet Raj Bawa devoted his entire life to strengthening the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and played a major role in expanding the organization in Amritsar district.

Comrade Jeet Raj Bawa remained associated with labor movements for decades. Throughout his life, he actively worked to strengthen workers’ unity and promote scientific thinking within the organization.

According to CITU leaders, Bawa also spent time in jail during various protests and workers’ movements.

CITU leaders announced that the final prayer meeting and tribute ceremony for Jeet Raj Bawa will take place on May 24 at Guru Nanak Pura in Amritsar.

Many senior trade union leaders attended the cremation ceremony and expressed condolences to the grieving family.

Representatives from brotherly organizations also attended the ceremony to pay homage.
