Amritsar (Suraj Kamlesh): Renowned Dubai-based businessman and philanthropist SP Singh Oberoi inaugurated the new “Sunny Oberoi Clinical Lab and Diagnostic Center” at Guru Nanak Dev University on Wednesday. The Affordable Diagnostic Lab at GNDU was dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur and was inaugurated jointly by GNDU Vice Chancellor Karamjeet Singh and Sarbajinder Singh in the presence of SP Singh Oberoi.
Affordable Healthcare Facility for Students
Speaking during the inauguration, SP Singh Oberoi said the low-cost diagnostic laboratory would greatly benefit nearly 15,000 students studying at the university.
In addition, hundreds of university employees and faculty members will also receive affordable healthcare testing services through the facility.
He further announced that the trust would soon open two collection centers near the university campus to help local residents access low-cost medical tests more easily.
Sarbat Da Bhala Trust Expanding Healthcare Services
Oberoi stated that the trust aims to establish 200 laboratories across India. So far, the organization has already opened more than 150 laboratories in Punjab and other states.
He revealed that over 27 lakh people benefited from low-cost diagnostic tests at these laboratories during the last year alone.
The initiative continues the trust’s mission of providing affordable healthcare facilities without collecting donations from the public.
