Sirmour (Kameshwar Sharma): BJP Himachal Pradesh president Dr Rajeev Bindal strongly criticized the state government after a violent Sirmour Kolar Attack. He called the incident a serious breakdown of law and order in Himachal Pradesh.
Moreover, he described the attack on a father and son running a shop as horrifying. He said that attackers used sharp weapons and seriously injured both victims. The incident has triggered major political controversy in the state.
Brutal Attack Raises Law & Order Concerns
According to reports, unidentified attackers arrived in a vehicle and assaulted the victims outside their shop. The injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment in hospital.
Furthermore, Rajeev Bindal said the victims are fighting for their lives. He claimed the attack clearly shows rising criminal confidence in the state.
Therefore, he demanded immediate and strict action against all accused persons.
Allegations Against Tipper Mafia
Bindal also raised concerns about the growing influence of the tipper mafia in Sirmour, especially in the Kala Amb–Paonta Sahib region.
He said overloaded and illegal tipper trucks operate freely at night. Moreover, he claimed that such activities have already caused several accidents in the past.
Additionally, he alleged that criminal networks are operating without fear due to political protection.
Questions Raised on Illegal Activities
The BJP leader questioned the source and movement of illegal materials. He asked who is supporting such networks in the region.
Furthermore, he alleged that over-speeding and disputes involving tipper operators may have triggered the attack.
He said the public deserves answers about illegal mining, overloading, and organized crime activities in the area.
Criticism of State Government
Bindal accused the state government of protecting illegal activities. He said law enforcement agencies are not taking strong action.
Moreover, he claimed that crime and mafia influence are increasing under the current administration.
Therefore, he demanded a fair and fast investigation into the entire incident.
Demand for Strict Action
He stated that one accused has already been detained and a suspected vehicle has been recovered. However, he said this is not enough.
Additionally, he demanded that all accused should be arrested within 24 hours. He also called for a transparent and impartial investigation.
Warning of Public Protest
Bindal warned that if strict action is not taken, public anger may erupt. He said people may come onto the streets in protest.
Finally, he said the BJP will not tolerate rising crime, mafia influence, or lawlessness in Himachal Pradesh.
