Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): The Shimla district administration intensified the Drug Free Himachal Campaign during a district-level NCORD meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap. Officials from the police, revenue, excise, and education departments reviewed anti-drug activities conducted across the district over the last month.

Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said Shimla Police is carrying out strong action against drug networks. He added that the ongoing Drug Free Himachal Campaign has created fear among drug smugglers operating from neighboring states.
He instructed patwaris to submit reports about individuals involved in drug-related activities to SDMs. After receiving the reports, SDMs will closely monitor the properties and financial records of suspected drug traffickers.
The administration also directed the revenue department and other agencies to share information quickly with police teams. Officials aim to identify assets purchased through illegal drug money and take legal action against offenders.
Awareness Campaigns to Continue
