Sri Amritsar Sahib (Dwarka Nath Rana): The first death anniversary of Bibi Amarjit Kaur Dhillon was observed with deep faith and religious devotion in Amritsar.
Bibi Amarjit Kaur Dhillon, mother of S. Iqbal Singh Dhillon and mother-in-law of Baba Balbir Singh Akali, the 14th chief of the Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal, passed away on May 31, 2025.
On this occasion, the bhog ceremony of Shri Akhand Path Sahib was held at Gurdwara Bhora Sahib. Subsequently, a kirtan and ardas ceremony took place at Gurdwara Guru Ka Bagh, the Nihang Singh Budha Dal camp.
Renowned ragis, dhadis, and kavishri jathas performed devotional hymns and compositions in Veer Ras, spiritually uplifting the congregation.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Balbir Singh Akali paid tribute to Bibi Amarjit Kaur Dhillon, stating that a mother’s blessings and love are divine. He added that when such blessings are lost, one feels an immense and irreplaceable void. He also described her contributions to family and society as deeply inspiring.
Several prominent personalities, including Baba Nagar Singh Harian Bela, Bhai Sukhjeet Singh Kanaiya, Bibi Tanwinder Kaur, Bibi Manpreet Kaur, Advocate S. Karanrajbir Singh, Baba Vishwapratap Singh, Baba Gurmukh Singh, Baba Daler Singh, Baba Malook Singh Ladi, Baba Lachhman Singh, Baba Parmjeet Singh Mahakaal, Baba Gursher Singh, and Baba Bhagat Singh, were present at the ceremony.
