Sri Amritsar Sahib (Suraj Kamlesh): Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure timely completion of flood protection works ahead of the upcoming monsoon season.
Chairing a high-level review meeting, the Chief Minister warned officials of personal accountability in case of negligence. He stressed the urgency of completing all preventive measures before the onset of heavy rains.
CM Mann instructed authorities to immediately carry out desilting of drains and vulnerable flood-prone areas. He also directed officials to accelerate anti-pollution measures and fast-track pending infrastructure projects to minimize potential damage during the monsoon.
Emphasizing preparedness, he said the state government is committed to safeguarding lives and property by ensuring all flood management arrangements are completed well in time.
