Amritsar/Baba Bakala Sahib (Simran Santosh Rajput): The Punjab State Women Commission will conduct a special hearing in Amritsar to address complaints of atrocities against women from Amritsar district.
Satnam Singh Gill, President of the Minority People’s Welfare Organisation, informed that Punjab State Women Commission Chairperson Smt. Raj Lali Gill and Senior Vice Chairperson Bibi Geeta Gill will participate in the ‘Sangat Darshan’ programme organized on April 29, 2026, at the Conference Hall, Lawrence Road, Amritsar.
Gill stated that the Commission is organizing this special camp in view of numerous complaints received from Amritsar district regarding atrocities on women. He added that many cases registered at their office can only be resolved with the active intervention of the Punjab Women Commission.
A delegation from the Minority People’s Welfare Organisation, along with several victim women, will personally appear before the Commission during the hearing.
Satnam Singh Gill appealed to all affected women to reach the venue by 10:00 AM on April 29, 2026, along with their complaints so that the Commission can take immediate cognizance and necessary action in their cases.
He further assured that the Minority People’s Welfare Organisation will strongly pursue the cases of victim daughters and provide full support to the aggrieved women.
