Amritsar (Dawarka Nath Rana): Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla inaugurated a newly developed open gym at Company Bagh under the MP Local Area Development Fund.
Speaking on the occasion, Aujla said that he is committed to improving the fitness and overall health of the people of Amritsar and will continue to take initiatives aimed at public welfare.
He mentioned that the earlier gym equipment installed at the site had deteriorated and an inquiry would be conducted to determine the reasons behind its poor condition. To provide better facilities, 12 new high-quality gym machines have now been installed for the benefit of residents.
Aujla added that open gyms encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and are especially beneficial for both youth and senior citizens. He emphasized that the MP fund has always been utilized keeping public needs in mind and assured that such development works will continue in the future.
The MP reiterated that serving the people remains his primary duty and that he is fully committed to enhancing public facilities and promoting better living standards in the city.
Former minister Anil Joshi, former MLA Sunil Dutti, Arora Mahasabha President Sanjeev Arora, and other dignitaries were also present at the event. They appreciated the initiative, calling it a valuable addition for the citizens, particularly for youth and elderly residents.
