Amritsar (Suraj Kamlesh): A group of saints promoting cow protection and awareness across India visited Shri Aarti Shiv Durga Mandir Trust in Kartar Nagar, Chheharta, Amritsar, where they met Param Sant Advait Swaroop Shri Aarti Deva Maharaj.
The visiting saints informed that a nationwide campaign has been launched, with 108 “Gau Saints” traveling across India for two years. Each saint will be responsible for awareness campaigns in around 7–8 districts, aiming to educate people about the significance of cow protection and cultural values.
As part of the initiative, memorandums will be submitted across nearly 5,000 tehsils in India on April 27, 2026, demanding that the cow be declared the “National Mother.”
During the event, Shri Aarti Deva Maharaj highlighted the importance of cows in Sanatan culture, stating that cows are not just animals but symbols of faith, culture, and spirituality. He emphasized that serving cows contributes to achieving the four goals of life—Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha.
He urged society to actively participate in cow protection, service, and respect. The temple also celebrated “Gau Samman Diwas” with devotion, including cow worship and kirtan.
At 11 AM, devotees gathered and submitted a memorandum to the SDM, expressing their demand and commitment to the cause.
Several prominent figures and saints were present on the occasion, including Sumit Shastri, Mahant Atma Prakashgiri Maharaj, Mahant Atmajyotigiri Maharaj, Mahant Jaswinder Ji, Brijesh Bedi, Balakrishna Ji, Parishad Satish Kumar Ballu, Parishad Arvind Sharma, Manjeet Singh Mita, and many others, along with a large number of devotees.
