Kuldeep Dhaliwal Attends AAP Block Samiti Ceremony

Ajnala (Suraj Kamlesh): Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader, MLA and former Punjab Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal attended a series of impressive ceremonies held in the Ajnala Assembly constituency, where newly elected office bearers of Block Samiti Ajnala and Block Samiti Ramdas were formally sworn in.

The newly appointed representatives include Block Samiti Ajnala Chairperson Bibi Swinder Kaur and Vice Chairman S. Sarabjit Singh, as well as Block Samiti Ramdas Chairman S. Prithipal Singh Wala and Vice Chairperson Bibi Palwinder Kaur. On the occasion, Dhaliwal honoured all newly elected chairpersons and vice chairpersons and extended his best wishes.

Addressing the gathering, Dhaliwal highlighted the crucial role of Gram Panchayats, Zila Parishads, and Block Samitis in both rural and urban development. He urged the newly elected representatives to perform their responsibilities with transparency and honesty for the development of rural areas.

He said that the current Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken concrete steps to bridge the development gap created by previous Congress and SAD-BJP governments, with a vision to transform villages into self-reliant and model villages. As a result, forced migration from rural to urban areas has significantly reduced.

Dhaliwal stated that there is no shortage of development funds for rural and urban projects in Punjab. He further highlighted key government initiatives including:

  • Development of model sports grounds in villages with an investment of ₹3100 crore
  • Free health insurance coverage up to ₹10 lakh for 3 crore residents
  • Free 600 units of electricity per household, providing financial relief of nearly ₹5000 per consumer
  • Upgradation of government schools under the “Education Revolution”
  • Opening of Aam Aadmi Clinics for free healthcare services
  • Monthly financial assistance of ₹1000 for general category women and ₹1500 for Dalit women
  • Free ration schemes including wheat and essential kitchen items for over 4 lakh smart card holders
  • Strong action against gangsterism, extortion, and drug trafficking under “War Against Drugs” and “Operation Prahar”

He added that due to these initiatives, the Punjab government has gained recognition not only in India but also internationally, attracting foreign investment and creating new employment opportunities for lakhs of unemployed youth.

The event concluded with felicitation of newly elected representatives in the presence of party workers and local dignitaries.
