Sarkaghat (Kameshwar Sharma): Congress Committee General Secretary Pawan Thakur on Wednesday performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a 430-metre-long Farm Access Road under BPMU Sarkaghat at Sub-Project FIS Bhadroi in Bhadroi village. The project has been sanctioned at a cost of ₹19,43,176.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Thakur said that the construction of the farm access road will provide easy access to agricultural fields, thereby improving farming efficiency and saving both time and labour. He added that the initiative will play a significant role in enhancing agricultural productivity in the region.
On the same occasion, a Basic Engineering Skills Camp was also organized, where local residents were provided with fundamental technical knowledge related to construction activities. Farmers were also briefed about various JICA-supported schemes.
Information was shared with farmers regarding solar fencing, farm machinery, and turmeric cultivation, encouraging them to adopt modern agricultural techniques to increase their income.
Pawan Thakur stated that such developmental initiatives not only strengthen rural infrastructure but also contribute significantly to the overall growth and prosperity of farmers.
The event was attended by BPM Dr. Ashwani Kumar, AO Nishant Parashar, AEO Ankita Kumari, CE Shashi Pal Sharma, JE Ashwani Kumar, Supervisor Rohit Rana, along with around 40–45 farmers, local dignitaries, and project officials.
