Sangrur, December 22: Cabinet Minister Mahinder Bhagat inaugurated the Sainik Rest House built in memory of martyred soldiers who dedicate their lives to the nation, noting that the AAP Punjab government doubled ex-gratia from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore for their families.
Bhagat emphasized government’s responsibility to support soldiers’ families post-martyrdom, urging youth to emulate their bravery for national strength.
As Horticulture Minister, he outlined efforts to promote new crops and fruits, training farmers through new offices to boost profitability from crops currently imported from outside Punjab.
