Ajnala: Panic spread in Ajnala after an unidentified body was recovered from a drain in Talwandi Raidadu village under mysterious circumstances on Friday morning.
According to local residents, the body was spotted in the Sakki drain, following which villagers immediately informed the police. Acting swiftly, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and shifted it to the Civil Hospital for identification and post-mortem.
Station House Officer Harjeet Singh stated that the body has been kept for 72 hours at the hospital to establish the identity of the deceased. Preliminary observations suggest that the deceased is around 35 years old.
Police officials revealed that the man had a tattoo reading “Sandhu” on one hand, while another tattoo was also found on the other hand, which may help in identification.
Authorities have initiated further investigation to determine the cause of death and identify the individual. Meanwhile, police have urged the public to come forward with any information that may assist in identifying the deceased.
