Gurugram police and administration razed properties illegally amassed by notorious gangster Ashok Rathi from Bhondsi-Sohna in a major crackdown today.
Gangster’s Background
Ashok Rathi was murdered by gunfire in his Alipur village home on November 16, 2019, amid long-standing rivalry with Narendra alias Sonu Rathi over gang wars, money disputes, and supremacy. The murder case remains under trial at Bhondsi police station.
Criminal Network
Post-Rathi’s death, Sonu Rathi, along with aides Salim and Rohit alias Bobby, ran the organized crime syndicate. Sonu faces 19 grave charges including illegal arms trade, extortion, kidnapping attempts, murder bids, attacks on police, illegal occupation, and firing.
Ongoing Probe
The bulldozer action signals zero tolerance for gangster assets, with investigations continuing into the network’s operations since 2011.
